Parker Young

Parker Charles William Young was born in Tucson, Arizona, to Karl and Zarina Young. He is the eldest of three siblings and, as a child, enjoyed sports, rock climbing, paintball, and exploring the Sonoran desert. Football became his primary focus in high school; he started on the Varsity team as a sophomore and was team captain by his senior year. Young first performed on stage as a junior in a one-act play, though he had participated in a mandatory theater class in middle school and performed a rap of Dr. Dre's "Forgot About Dre" in a fifth-grade talent show. The one-act play he was part of won first place out of three student-written entries at the school's competition. Though the win was modest, it motivated Young to "give this acting thing a shot." Encouraged by his drama teacher, he pursued acting more seriously during his senior year, balancing theater, football, and college preparations. After graduating, Young moved to Los Angeles for college, but before classes began, he decided to drop out and fully commit to the entertainment industry, beginning with headshots, acting classes, and background work. His breakthrough came when he landed the role of "Ryan Shay" on ABC's Suburgatory, portraying the hyperactive jock neighbor to Jeremy Sisto and the son of Ana Gasteyer and Chris Parnell. Following Suburgatory, Young became a lead in the critically acclaimed Fox comedy Enlisted, playing the youngest of three brothers (alongside Geoff Stultz and Chris Lowell) serving in the U.S. Army. In film, he starred in the Flower Films production "Animal" and the upcoming indie "Fourth Man Out." Young lives in Los Angeles and stays active through rock climbing, Krav Maga, yoga, and camping. When not engaged in physical activities, he is often found at the beach, on his motorcycle, or reading at Barnes & Noble. He may also be traveling with no cell service.
