Biography

Parthasarathi Chakraborty is an Indian environmental geochemist recognized for his contributions to Environmental Chemistry. His research has focused on metal-natural ligand interactions in natural and marine environments, enhancing the understanding of these processes. Chakraborty has served as a senior scientist at the CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography and as an associate professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He has received several notable awards, including the National Geoscience Award in 2015 and the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in 2018. He is also an elected fellow of the Indian Geophysical Union.
