Biography

Paul Barrett, also known as "Legs" Barrett, was a Welsh agent and manager known for his work with 1950s-style rock and roll artists. Active during the 1960s and 1970s, he played a key role in the careers of several prominent musicians in the genre. Barrett was the discoverer, mentor, and first manager of the singer who would later become famous as Shakin' Stevens. In addition to this, he represented and promoted many other notable artists, contributing significantly to the development and popularity of rock and roll during his long and varied career. Prior to his work in management, Barrett was also a singer, songwriter, film actor, and author.
