Biography

Paul Cronin (8 July 1938 – 13 September 2019) was an Australian television actor known for his roles in the Australian series *Matlock Police* and *The Sullivans*. After moving to Melbourne as a young man, he worked in a variety of jobs before pursuing an acting career. Cronin performed in several Crawford Productions series, including *Division 4* and *Homicide*. He portrayed motorcycle policeman Gary Hogan in *Matlock Police* (1971–1976), later appearing in its spin-off *Solo One* (1976). From 1976 to 1983, he played the central character Dave Sullivan in the popular soap opera *The Sullivans*.
