Until Dawn 2, the sequel to the 2015 horror game Until Dawn, has been announced as a cinematic, choice-based horror experience set on a tropical island. Unlike the first game's snowy mountain setting, this sequel follows a group of ghost hunters who find themselves facing real supernatural threats. The game was revealed during the June 2026 State of Play and features a masked killer, with gameplay decisions impacting character fates. A trailer showcased a pivotal choice where players must decide whether to push a companion off a cliff or jump alone, with consequences for their survival. The game is not being developed by the original creators, Supermassive Games, but instead by Firesprite, known for titles like Call of the Mountain and The Persistence. Until Dawn 2 is distinct from The Quarry, a spiritual sequel to Until Dawn. While it remains unclear if the game will directly connect to the first Until Dawn or its film adaptation, it retains the signature horror and decision-driven gameplay of the original. Peter Stormare is set to return as a character.
