Biography

Philippe Grumbach was a French journalist, writer, and film producer, known for his long tenure at L'Express magazine, where he held the position of editor-in-chief during the 1970s. Born in 1924, he played a significant role in French intellectual and media circles over several decades. In 2024, it was revealed that he had been a Soviet spy for much of his professional life, a disclosure that posthumously altered the perception of his career. Grumbach died in 2003.
