Biography
Pola Illéry, born Paula Iliescu on October 15, 1908, in Corabia, Romania, was a Romanian actress known for her work in silent and early sound films. She appeared in several French films during the 1920s and 1930s, including René Clair's *Under the Roofs of Paris* (1930) and the Romanian-language version of *Paramount on Parade* (1930), produced by Paramount Pictures in Paris. Her final film appearances are believed to be in *Le Tigre du Bengale* and *Le Tombeau hindou*, both released in 1938.
