Biography

Priyamani is an Indian actress who has appeared in Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films. She is perhaps best known for her role as the village girl Muththazhagu in the Tamil drama *Paruthiveeran* (2007), for which she received critical acclaim and significant recognition in the Indian film industry, including the National Film Award and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress. Among her other notable films are *Raam* (2009), *Raavan* (2010), *Raavanan* (2010), *Pranchiyettan & the Saint* (2010), *Chaarulatha* (2012), and *Idolle Ramayana* (2016).
