Biography

Rafael Leyva, a Los Angeles-based Director of Photography from Ponce, Puerto Rico, was named one of the American Society of Cinematographers' Rising Stars of Cinematography. The island native began his journey as an aspiring filmmaker in New York City at the age of 19. It was there that he developed a passion for cinematography. Since then, Leyva has worked with clients including Disney Pictures, Sony Pictures, Netflix, Fox, NBC, Hallmark, and others. He specializes in narrative feature films and 35mm film capture.
