Biography

Ramon Sadaya Fernandez is a Filipino former professional basketball player and former commissioner of the Philippine Sports Commission. He is best known for his career in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), where he won four Most Valuable Player awards and 19 PBA titles. He played the majority of his career at 6'4", but later grew to 6'5" due to mild gigantism. Fernandez is the PBA's all-time leading scorer with 18,996 points and also holds the records for rebounds, blocked shots, and free throws made. He played for Toyota, Manila Beer, Tanduay, Purefoods, and San Miguel during his career. He also represented the Philippines in multiple international basketball tournaments.
