Biography

Born in 1982 in Aarberg, Switzerland, the filmmaker studied Art from 2002 to 2005 at the HKB (Hochschule der Künste Bern). From 2006 to 2013, they pursued Film studies at the DFFB (Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin). Their award-winning debut film *The Strange Little Cat* (2013) premiered at the Berlinale Forum and was also shown at festivals including TIFF, Cannes, Viennale, and New Directors / New Films New York. *The Girl and the Spider* (2021), co-directed with his brother, premiered in the Encounters section of the Berlinale.
