Biography

Ramy Youssef is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and writer best known for his role as Ramy Hassan in the Hulu comedy series *Ramy*, which aired from 2019 to 2022. For his performance, he won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy and a Peabody Award in 2020. Youssef also received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations: one for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series and another for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. Through his work on *Ramy*, he gained critical acclaim for his portrayal of a first-generation Egyptian-American navigating faith, identity, and relationships.
