Biography

Rekha Shankar is an executive story editor for *Grand Crew* on NBC and for *Digman!*, the Comedy Central show created by Andy Samberg and Neil Campbell. She previously served as a staff writer for *Animaniacs* on Hulu and as head writer for the *Hardly Working* series on CollegeHumor. In 2020, she was selected for Just For Laughs: New Faces - Creators. She has appeared in *Between Two Ferns: The Movie*, *Hacks*, *Aunty Donna’s House of Fun*, and in a Hershey’s commercial as Cupid. She also performs on stage weekly at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles. Additional credits include work with *The New Yorker*, *ClickHole*, *Reductress*, *Kal Penn Approves This Message*, and the Slamdance Film Festival, as well as being a national punner. One of her *New Yorker* pieces about the excessive backstory in recipes went “viral.”
