Biography

Richard Lester Liebman was an American film director who worked extensively in the United Kingdom. Known for his energetic and flamboyant directing style, particularly in comedies, he directed several notable films, including the Beatles' *A Hard Day's Night* (1964) and *Help!* (1965), as well as *The Knack ...and How to Get It* (1965). His work in the 1960s had a significant influence on the comedy genre.
