Robin McLeavy

Robin McLeavy (born 19 June 1981) is an Australian actress from Sydney. She graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2004. McLeavy portrayed Lola Stone in *The Loved Ones*, an Australian horror film that received critical acclaim and was screened at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival, where it won the Audience Choice Award. In 2009, she played Stella Kowalski opposite Cate Blanchett and Joel Edgerton in the Sydney Theatre Company's production of *A Streetcar Named Desire*, directed by Liv Ullmann. The production later toured to the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York. For her performance, McLeavy received the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Supporting Performer. She also appeared in four encore seasons of *Holding the Man*, an award-winning play by Tommy Murphy.

McLeavy portrayed Isabella in Benedict Andrews's production of *Measure for Measure* by William Shakespeare at the Belvoir Theatre in Sydney from 5 to 25 July 2010. She previously appeared as Honey in *Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?*, also directed by Benedict Andrews for the Belvoir Theatre Company in 2007. For this role, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Sydney Theatre Awards.

From 2011 to 2016, McLeavy played Eva Oates, a frontier tribal abductee survivor, on the Western series *Hell on Wheels*. The character, including her physical appearance, was inspired by the real-life story of Olive Oatman. In 2012, she portrayed Nancy Lincoln in *Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter*. In 2015, McLeavy voiced Nutsy, a koala, in *Blinky Bill the Movie*, an Australian computer-animated adventure film based on the book by Dorothy Wall and featuring the voices of Ryan Kwanten, Rufus Sewell, David Wenham, Toni Collette, Richard Roxburgh, Deborah Mailman, Barry Otto, and Barry Humphries. She also played Barbara Henning in *Backtrack*.
