Biography

Zhongyu (Robin) Wang is a director and screenwriter. He graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Highest Distinction) in English and is currently an MFA candidate in Film & Television Production at the University of Southern California.

Wang was born in Xi'an, China in 1995 and decided to study abroad to pursue his interests in filmmaking.

He developed his filmmaking skills in the United States. To date, he has completed six narrative short films that have been selected by festivals including Urbanworld, San Jose International Short Film Festival, Chinese American Film Festival, and Midsummer Scream Halloween Convention, as well as by distribution platforms such as Dekkoo and RokuTV. He has also worked as an intern in development and internet content acquisitions at companies including Paramount and Tencent.
