Biography
Roland Sletor Morris was an American lawyer and diplomat who co-founded the Philadelphia-based law firm Duane Morris in 1904. He was active in the legal community and later held a major governmental role as United States Ambassador to Japan, serving from 1917 to 1920 during a key period in U.S.-Japan relations. Morris's career combined legal practice with diplomatic service, influencing both American law and international relations.
