Biography

Ron Donachie, born Ronald Eaglesham Porter, is a Scottish character actor who has appeared in film and television. He has played supporting roles in movies such as *The Jungle Book* (1994) and *Titanic*. He also appeared in the television series *Game of Thrones*, where he portrayed the recurring character Ser Rodrik Cassel. Donachie is perhaps best recognized for his role as DI John Rebus in the BBC Radio 4 dramatizations of Sir Ian Rankin's Rebus detective novels. He later reprised the role for the stage play *Rebus: Long Shadows*.
