Biography

Samantha Jane Bond is an English actress known for her diverse roles in film and television. She portrayed Miss Moneypenny in four James Bond films during the Pierce Brosnan era. Bond also appeared in *Downton Abbey* as Lady Rosamund Painswick, the wealthy sister of Robert Crawley, the Earl of Grantham. On television, she played "Auntie Angela" in the sitcom *Outnumbered* and the villain Mrs. Wormwood in the *Doctor Who* spin-off *The Sarah Jane Adventures*. Additionally, she originated the role of "Miz Liz" Probert in the *Rumpole of the Bailey* series. Bond is also a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
