Biography

*Santhanam* (transl. Children) is a 1955 Indian Telugu-language drama film produced and directed by C. V. Ranganatha Das under the Sadhana Films banner. Directed under the supervision of L. V. Prasad, the film features Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Savitri in leading roles. It is notable for being the debut of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar in the Telugu film industry. The film's song "Nidura Pora Thammuda" became a trendsetter as a theme song uniting lost siblings. *Santhanam* was later remade in Tamil as *Marakka Mudiyuma?*
