Biography

Sergio Castellitto is an Italian actor, screenwriter, and film director with a career spanning over four decades. He has appeared in more than 70 films across various genres, including dramas such as *My Mother's Smile* (2002), *Don't Move* (2004), and *Twice Born* (2012). He gained international recognition for his roles in *Mostly Martha* (2001) and *The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian* (2008). Castellitto frequently collaborates with his wife, screenwriter Margaret Mazzantini, who has written several of the films he has directed and starred in. He has received numerous awards in Italy, Europe, and North America. In 2024, he was part of the ensemble cast of *Conclave*, which won the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Award.
