Biography

Sergio Fascetti was an Italian actor known for his appearance in Pier Paolo Pasolini's controversial film *Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom* (1975). In the film, Fascetti played the character Sergio, one of the male victims of the four powerful adult figures who subject both male and female captives to acts of sex, humiliation, and violence. He is particularly remembered for a scene in which he marries a young girl, also a victim, and appears to be among those who might escape a more immediate fate. Pasolini often cast non-professional actors in his films, and Fascetti was no exception; his performance in *Salò* was his most notable film role. He was found dead on March 21, 1992, at the age of 33, the result of a suspicious drug overdose.
