NBC’s Summer Late‑Night Lineup Targets Small Audience
“Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers begin a multi‑week stretch of late‑night shows aimed at summer viewers, the smallest regular TV audience segment. The schedule gives both hosts a chance to attract attention without typical weekday competition. Fallon will debut his new episode of “The Tonight Show” on Monday, marking the first time the program airs without direct rivals in its timeslot, while Meyers continues his established routine. Executives see the slow summer cycle as an opportunity for growth rather than a ratings challenge.”
