Biography
Siân Heder is an American filmmaker known for writing and directing the films *Tallulah* and *CODA*. Her work on *CODA*, which tells the story of a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) working in her family's seafood business, earned her critical acclaim. For her screenplay adaptation, Heder received the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and the BAFTA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. *CODA* also won the Academy Award for Best Picture and the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Troy Kotsur's performance.
