Biography

Sigmund Neufeld was an American B movie producer associated with the Poverty Row studio Producers Releasing Corporation (PRC), where he mainly produced films directed by his brother, Sam Newfield. In 1947, after PRC was acquired by Eagle-Lion Films, Neufeld and his brother left the company, as Neufeld viewed Eagle-Lion's move toward more ambitious productions as a financial risk. The brothers subsequently produced several films for Film Classics. When Film Classics merged with Eagle-Lion in 1950, they joined Lippert Pictures, continuing their work in low-budget filmmaking.
