    Biography

Sigmund Neufeld was an American B movie producer known for his work at Poverty Row studio Producers Releasing Corporation (PRC), where he primarily produced films directed by his brother, Sam Newfield. In 1947, when PRC was acquired by Eagle-Lion Films, Neufeld and his brother left the company, as Eagle-Lion's shift toward more ambitious productions was seen by Neufeld as a financial misstep. Following this, the brothers produced several films for Film Classics. When Film Classics merged with Eagle-Lion in 1950, they moved to Lippert Pictures, continuing their work in low-budget filmmaking.
