Biography

Simon Helberg is an American actor and comedian known for his role as Howard Wolowitz on the CBS sitcom *The Big Bang Theory*, which he portrayed from 2007 to 2019. For his performance, he won the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He also gained critical acclaim for his role as Cosmé McMoon in the 2016 film *Florence Foster Jenkins*, earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture. Helberg has appeared in a variety of other films, including *Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story* (2007), *A Serious Man* (2009), and *Annette* (2021). He was a cast member on the sketch comedy series *MADtv* during its eighth season (2002–2003).
