Biography

Sonakshi Sinha is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Hindi films. Before acting, she worked as a costume designer. She made her film debut in the action-drama *Dabangg* (2010), for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Sinha has played the romantic lead in several high-grossing action-dramas, including *Rowdy Rathore* (2012), *Son of Sardaar* (2012), *Dabangg 2* (2012), and *Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty* (2014). She has faced criticism for accepting roles with limited scope. She received critical praise for her performance as a woman with tuberculosis in the romantic drama *Lootera* (2013), earning a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress in 2013.
