Biography

Stephanie Izard is an American chef and television personality who became the first female winner of Bravo's *Top Chef* during its fourth season. She is the co-owner and executive chef of several Chicago-based restaurants, including Girl and the Goat, Little Goat, and Duck Duck Goat, with Valley Goat being her newest venture in Sunnyvale, California. Izard received a James Beard Foundation Award for "Best Chef: Great Lakes" in 2013 for her work at Girl and the Goat. She has returned to *Top Chef* as both a guest judge and a competitor in *Top Chef Duels*. In 2017, she won the Food Network series *Iron Chef Gauntlet*, defeating chefs Bobby Flay, Michael Symon, and Masaharu Morimoto to earn the title of Iron Chef.
