Steven Crowder(II)

Steven Crowder was born in the U.S. state of Michigan and raised in Quebec, Canada. At age twelve, he was cast as the voice of "The Brain" in the children's TV series *Arthur* (1996), a role that launched his early career. He continued acting in voice, television, and film until he realized that his infantile appearance no longer served his career. Seeking a new direction, he worked as manual labor at the "Just for Laughs" Comedy Festival, where he became interested in stand-up comedy. After seeking advice from a famous comedian, he was escorted off the premises, fined, and beaten. Undeterred, he began performing at a local comedy club, where the negative audience reactions gave him a rush that he quickly became addicted to. At age 18, he returned to the "Just for Laughs" Comedy Festival as the youngest comedian to perform there, breaking the previous record held by Chris Rock. His performance earned him a spot on XM Radio and tours across North America. Based in New York City, he later won the nationwide "So You Think You're Funny" MySpace Comedy Contest. In 2006, Crowder began a successful YouTube career, which gained widespread popularity in 2016 with the launch of his podcast *Louder with Crowder*. He has since amassed millions of followers and developed a career as a controversial online personality, often expressing far-right views. His most popular episodes include "There Are Only 2 Genders" and "Rape Culture Is a Myth," both of which featured live public debates with students, provocatively subtitled "Change My Mind."
