Stevie Wonder, born Stevland Hardaway Morris, is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer known for his significant influence on 20th-century music. His work spans multiple genres, including R&B, pop, soul, gospel, funk, and jazz. Wonder is celebrated for his innovative use of synthesizers and electronic instruments in the 1970s, which helped redefine contemporary R&B. As a virtual one-man band during his peak years, he crafted cohesive and socially conscious albums with complex compositions, helping to drive R&B and related genres into the album era.
