Susan Bergeron

Susan Bergeron has been a member of the New England acting community since 1995 and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and AFTRA. Best known for her appearances in *Amistad* (Steven Spielberg), *Mystic River* (Clint Eastwood), and *The Equalizer* (starring Denzel Washington), she has worked in over 40 feature films and appeared in commercials and television. An accomplished stage actress, she has worked in theater since childhood, best known for her broad range of character work in musicals, comedies, and dramas. She sings rock, R&B, and blues. Susan and her three sisters grew up in South Jersey, the children of middle-class parents; her father was a soup factory worker and her mother an executive secretary for the *Saturday Evening Post*. As a child, Susan Bergeron studied acting under the direction of Robert Heyges (*Welcome Back Kotter*, *Hill Street Blues*) and won a full scholarship to study the performing arts at the State Teachers College at Glassboro (renamed Rowan College). She majored in film production and electronic music (scoring for film with the Moog synthesizer). Susan lives in The Ocean State with her husband Ron Bergeron. She has one son.
