Taika Waititi, born Taika David Cohen, is a New Zealand filmmaker, writer, actor, and comedian known for his distinctive style and versatile contributions to film and television. He has earned critical acclaim and numerous awards, including an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, and a Grammy Award. In addition, he has received nominations for two Golden Globe Awards and six Emmy Awards. In 2022, Time magazine recognized his global influence by naming him one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
