Taja V. Simpson

Taja V. Simpson is an actress, producer, entrepreneur, and author with over 60 film and television credits to her name. She is best known for her role as Priscilla Owens on BET's *Tyler Perry's The Oval*, a series regular position spanning more than 130 episodes across six seasons. Simpson also appeared in *Madea's Destination Wedding* on Netflix. She is set to star as the title character in AMC's ALLBLK drama *Jupiter Jones*, which premieres in May 2026. The series is a spin-off of *A House Divided*, where Simpson first portrayed the character in a two-episode guest role. Her performance led to the character becoming a recurring guest star before evolving into the lead role in the new series. Simpson has also appeared on *Found*, *Hightown*, *Insecure*, *All American*, *Grey's Anatomy*, *NCIS*, and various Disney shows, showcasing her ability to perform in comedy and drama formats. In addition to acting, she is a producer and co-founded Simpson & McGowan Studios, through which she co-produced and starred in the holiday comedy *#WorstChristmasEver*, which became a top performer on Tubi.
