Tala Ashe

Ashe was born in Tehran, Iran, and immigrated to the United States when she was nine months old. She grew up in Powell, Ohio, near the state capital, Columbus. During her high school years, she participated in theatrical productions as both an actress and director.

She earned a BA in Fine Arts from Boston University School of Drama and also trained at the Academy of Music and Drama in London and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York.

Ashe performed in numerous regional and Off-Broadway productions before making her screen debut as Nadia in the 2008 film *Waiting in Beijing*. She guest-starred on various television series, including *Law & Order*, *Law & Order: Criminal Intent*, *30 Rock*, and *Covert Affairs*. She also had recurring roles on *Smash* and *American Odyssey*. Additionally, she was part of the cast of *As the World Turns*. In 2017, she joined the main cast of *DC's Legends of Tomorrow* as Zari Tomaz.
