Biography

Tantoo Cardinal is a Canadian actress of Cree and Métis heritage known for her contributions to Indigenous performing arts. Recognized for her work on screen and stage, she was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 2009 for her role in advancing Aboriginal performing arts in Canada. Cardinal is also a founding member of the Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company, further highlighting her dedication to Indigenous cultural expression through the arts.
