Biography

Oliver Taylor Hawkins was an American musician known for his role as drummer and co-vocalist of the rock band Foo Fighters. He joined the band in 1997 and remained a central member until his death in March 2022, participating in the recording of eight studio albums from 1999 to 2021. Before joining Foo Fighters, Hawkins served as a touring drummer for artists including Sass Jordan and Alanis Morissette, and was also a member of the progressive experimental band Sylvia. As a co-vocalist, he provided both backing and lead vocals on many of the band's songs, frequently sharing vocal responsibilities with frontman Dave Grohl.
