Biography

Thodoros Exarchos (Corfu, December 10, 1930 – Pagrati, May 9, 2009) was a Greek actor and writer. He studied theater at the National Theater, with Dimitris Horn and Dim. Rontiris as his teachers. He appeared, mostly in secondary but significant roles, in approximately 60 films, beginning with *The Written Words of Fortune* (1957) and ending with *The Civil Kitchen* (2003). He also participated in numerous high-quality theatrical productions, including *The Rain* (debut in 1957 with the Kyria Katerina troupe) and *The Master Solnes*, directed by G. Kimoulis. Exarchos also acted in television, appearing in popular series such as *The Unknown War*, and lent his distinctive deep voice to radio programs. His final television role was in *The Lying Grandpa* (2008–2009). He was honored by the Academy of Athens for his work *Greek Actors – Searching for the Roots*, published in 1997.
