Biography
Martina Michèle Weymouth is an American musician, singer, and songwriter who is best known as the bassist and co-founder of the new wave band Talking Heads. She also co-founded the side project Tom Tom Club with her husband, Talking Heads drummer Chris Frantz. Weymouth played a key role in shaping the band's distinctive sound throughout their career. In 2002, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Talking Heads, recognizing her contributions to the group's influential body of work in the realms of new wave and alternative rock.
