Biography
Thomas Avery Whedon was an American screenwriter and producer known for his work in television. He contributed to popular shows such as *The Golden Girls*, *Benson*, *Alice*, *It's a Living*, and *The Dick Cavett Show*. Whedon began his career as a writer on the 1955 series *Captain Kangaroo*, one of the original shows in the children's television landscape. He also collaborated with Jon Stone on the 1969 TV film *Hey, Cinderella!*, which featured the Muppets.
