Biography

Yanagishita Tomo is a Japanese actor and a member of the acting group D-BOYS. He won the third official D-BOYS audition held by Watanabe Entertainment in 2006, securing the Grand Prix and becoming an official member of the group. Later that winter, he was cast as Kaoru Kaidoh, the viper-like second-year regular of Seigaku Middle School's tennis club, in the *Prince of Tennis* musical series, known as *Tenimyu*. He joined the third generation of the Seigaku cast. Before Tomo's casting, Kousuke Kujirai had temporarily played the role with the third cast due to Takahiro Tasaki's withdrawal. Tomo made his debut as Kaidoh in the musical *Absolute King Rikkai feat. Rokkaku ~ First Service* on December 13, 2006.

Following the *Absolute King Rikkai feat. Rokkaku ~ Second Service* performance, Tomo did not graduate with his fellow third cast members but instead remained as an alternate with the fourth generation cast. He shared the role of Kaidoh with Yuuichirou Hirata, the new actor in the role, for two shows: *The Progressive Match Higa Chuu feat. Rikkai* and *Dream Live 5th*, alternating performances. Tomo left the role after the final performance of the *Dream Live 5th* concert. Throughout his time in the series, he worked alongside fellow D-BOY members Tetsuya Makita, Koji Seto, and Masato Wada. He and Kujirai are the two actors who have played Kaidoh for the longest duration.
