Biography
Tony Hernández, whose full name is Juan Antonio Hernández Alvarado, is a Honduran convicted drug trafficker, lawyer, and politician affiliated with the National Party of Honduras. He served as a deputy in the National Congress of Honduras from 2014 to 2018, representing the Lempira department. He is the brother of Juan Orlando Hernández, the former President of Honduras. On November 23, 2018, Tony Hernández was arrested in Miami on drug trafficking charges. Three days later, he was formally charged in a U.S. federal court with importing large quantities of cocaine into the United States between 2004 and 2016, as well as with weapons-related charges.
