Biography

Antonia Grietje "Tooske" Ragas-Breugem (née Antonia Grietje Breugem; Zwolle, 3 June 1974) is a Dutch actress and television host. She played a stewardess in *06/05*, a film by Theo van Gogh about the murder of Pim Fortuyn. She was a video jockey (VJ) at TMF Netherlands and presented two seasons of the Dutch and German versions of *Idols*.

Breugem was born into a Dutch Reformed family and has two older brothers: Jaap and Jan-Pieter. On June 3, 2002, she married American Keith Davis, but the couple separated in December 2003. On 25 June 2005, Breugem married Dutch actor Bastiaan Ragas, who was her co-star in the musical *3 Musketiers*. Their first daughter, Helena Antonia Ragas, was born on 13 February 2007. Their second daughter, Feline Hanneke Grietje Ragas, was born on 28 May 2008. Their third daughter, Catharina Maria (Catoo Ragas), was born on 7 April 2010.

Tooske is also known in Germany. While the Dutch refer to her by her maiden name, Tooske Breugem, Germans generally know her as Tooske Ragas, after her husband. Officially, she uses the name Tooske Ragas-Breugem.

Tooske's career in the Dutch entertainment industry began with her first television appearance in 1995 on *Soundmixshow*. In 1996, she was crowned Miss Overijssel, the province she is from, and placed fourth in the Miss Netherlands competition. She was also a singer in the group Bogy Bogy for two years. She then became a VJ at TMF Netherlands and MTV from 1998 until 2002. In 2002, she moved to larger television channels and became co-host of *Idols Netherlands* alongside Reinout Oerlemans for two seasons on RTL4.

In 2005, Breugem switched from RTL to the Dutch public broadcasting association AVRO, where she presented the *Junior Songfestival*, the *Televisierring*, and *Help, ik word vader!* (Help, I'm Becoming a Father). With Marco Schreyl, she presented the third and fourth seasons of *Deutschland sucht den Superstar*, the German version of *Idols*.

In 2006, Ragas-Breugem moved again, this time to the commercial broadcaster SBS, where she presented *Je wordt bedankt* (Thanks!) in 2006 and *Het beste idee van Nederland* (The Best Idea from the Netherlands) in 2007, co-hosted with Henkjan Smits.
