Biography
Molly: An American Girl on the Home Front is a 2006 made‑for‑television comedy‑drama film and the third installment in the American Girl film series. Based on Valerie Tripp’s book series, it follows Molly, a young girl navigating life during World War II. The movie premiered on the Disney Channel and was released on DVD on November 26, 2006. Maya Ritter stars as Molly, with supporting performances by Molly Ringwald, David Aaron Baker, Tory Green and Genevieve Farrell. After the merger of The WB and UPN networks, the film and the remainder of the series moved from their original WB broadcast home to the Disney Channel.
