Biography

Türkan Şoray is a Turkish actress, writer, and film director, often referred to as the "Sultan" of Turkish cinema. She began her career in 1960 and gained early recognition, winning her first award at the 1st Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival for her performance in *Acı Hayat*. Throughout her career, she appeared in more than 222 films, becoming the female actress with the most feature film appearances worldwide. In 2010, she was appointed a UNICEF goodwill ambassador in Turkey, highlighting the role of love and compassion in addressing global issues.
