Türkan Şoray is a Turkish actress, writer, and film director, widely regarded as the "Sultan" of Turkish cinema. She began her career in 1960 and quickly gained recognition, winning her first award at the 1st Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival for her role in *Acı Hayat*. Over her career, she appeared in more than 222 films, making her the female actress with the most feature film appearances worldwide. In 2010, she was appointed a UNICEF goodwill ambassador in Turkey, emphasizing the power of love and compassion in addressing global challenges.
