Biography
Valentine Dyall was an English character actor known for his distinctive, deep voice. He was particularly recognized for his work as a voice actor and for his long-standing role as "The Man in Black," the narrator of the BBC Radio horror series *Appointment with Fear*. Dyall reprised this role in the 1950 Hammer Film Productions movie *The Man in Black*, extending his association with the character from radio to film. His contributions to both radio and cinema demonstrated his versatility and presence in the horror genre.
