Vijay Shankar is an Indian cricketer who plays as a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler. He has represented the Tripura state cricket team and gained national attention during the 2019 Cricket World Cup, where he took the first wicket of his World Cup debut on the first ball he bowled. In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Shankar played for the Gujarat Titans from 2022 to 2024 and joined the Chennai Super Kings in 2025.
