Biography

Warren Mitchell (born Warren Misell) was an English actor who won a BAFTA TV Award and was a two-time recipient of the Laurence Olivier Award. He is best known for his portrayal of Alf Garnett, a character created by Johnny Speight, in the sitcoms *Til Death Us Do Part* and *In Sickness and in Health*. He played the role intermittently from 1965 to 1992.
