Biography

Warren Skaaren (March 9, 1946 – December 28, 1990) was an American screenwriter and film producer, born in Rochester, Minnesota, and died in Austin, Texas, from cancer. He is known for his work on several notable films, including *Batman* (1989), *Beetlejuice* (1988), *Beverly Hills Cop 2* (1987), and *Fire with Fire* (1986). Skaaren also served as associate producer for *Top Gun* (1986), for which he contributed a draft script. Additionally, he wrote an unproduced sequel to *The Jewel of the Nile* (1985), titled *The Crimson Eagle*.
