Wayne Hughes

Wayne Hughes is an actor and voiceover artist who was born and raised in Illinois. In the mid-1990s, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia. After training with acting coaches based in Los Angeles and New York, he began working in commercials, television, film, and voiceovers. His first notable role was in Antonio Campos' film *Christine*, where he co-starred with Rebecca Hall. The film, which dramatized the life and death of Sarasota news anchor Christine Chubbuck, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He is best known for his role as Coach Seymour Greyson in the second season of *Swagger*, which aired on Apple TV+ in 2023. Created by Reggie Rock Bythewood and starring O'Shea Jackson, Jr., *Swagger* was inspired by Kevin Durant's experiences in youth basketball on the AAU circuit.

Hughes also portrayed Art Rael in the Marvel Universe series *The Gifted*, which aired on FOX. He has appeared in *Ozark*, the feature films *The Tiger Rising* (with Christian Convery, Sam Trammell, and Katharine McPhee), *Transference*, and *One Last Thing*. In addition to his on-screen work, he is frequently cast in commercials for his versatility in both on-camera and voiceover roles. When not working in front of the camera, he can often be found in his studio, where he has provided narration for corporate projects, animated television shows, and commercials.

Hughes is also a freelance photographer whose work has been published internationally in textbooks, calendars, and magazines. Clients have included National Geographic, NAPA, Prentice Hall, and Atlanta Magazine. Looking ahead, he hopes to appear in a Taylor Sheridan-style western or series such as *Yellowstone*, *1883*, or *1923*, and to continue working as a regular cast member in primetime network television shows.
