Biography

Westcott Bailey Clarke (September 27 1886 – January 26 1959), also credited as Westcott Clarke, W.B. Clarke, Westcott B. Clarke and W.B. Westcott, was an American actor who performed in both film and on Broadway. He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on September 27 1886. During his career he appeared in twelve films, most notably the 1923 picture Safety Last!. Prior to 1922 he worked on Broadway productions. Clarke died in Los Angeles, California, in 1959 and was buried at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California.
